Injection Technique - aseptic technique

• Domestically clean and dry hands

• Gloves not always necessary

• Clean with alcohol or Iodine

The video above  demonstrates the use of an alcohol swab to perform aseptic injection of the knee.

Learning Point: When you are injecting any drug into a tissue or cavity always pull back on the syringe to ensure you are not in an artery or vein before injection.
